30 and fabulous in Cabo San Lucas

What a great way to celebrate a very special occasion somewhere warm and relaxing! Yup, that’s what we did to celebrate my special day! No better time to get away from the cold weather in Seattle than now. Hubby told me a couple days before my birthday that we were going on this trip so I had to quickly come up with some outfits. At that point, I had nothing but sweaters and coats in the closet! Lol. I didn’t really get the chance to shop for some clothes, but luckily I’m the type of person who buys things and never wears them. So, I did have some pieces that had never been worn which was perfect for this trip! Anyway, that was the least of my worries; the important thing was that we get to take a break and just relax.

We left the day before my birthday. Good thing hubby was able to book us a non-stop flight with Alaska Airlines. We arrived around 3:30 in the afternoon and got picked up by a shuttle to bring us to our hotel, ME Cabo. While driving along the coast headed to our hotel, we were able to see the other hotel/resorts along the way. They were all beautiful properties!

We arrived and checked in at ME Cabo around 4:30 PM - at this time the sun was already setting. It was a bit of a bummer because it took us about 45 minutes to get to our hotel from the airport. ME Cabo resort is located all the way down south by the Arch. Nevertheless, for the rest of the day we just chilled and had dinner at Blue Marlin Ibiza, a restaurant located inside the hotel.

November 15, 2018! I am officially 30 years old. Thank you to ME Cabo for the cute little cake. Although for the first time it was just me and my husband celebrating my birthday, I thought that it was really special. I had a great time, aside from being tired from shooting content for the blog and for you guys. I just don’t know when to stop, even on a day like this lol. But what can I say, it’s a passion!

On the following day, we went to the beach and rode the boat to get to the Arch. This place is absolutely gorgeous! I would definitely recommend visiting this place if you’re ever in Cabo. The sight of the Pacific Coast is so beautiful! We got dropped off and stayed on Lover’s Beach, where just on the other side of it was Divorce Beach. We hung around for a couple of hours just enjoying the view and to relax. I’m not sure what it was, maybe heat exhaustion or dehydration, but unfortunately hubby got really sick afterwards which was probably the only bad part of our trip. Later on that night we went to check out the mall, bought souvenirs and ate at the pier. Went back to our hotel to let my hubby rest and hoped he felt better. The next day, we basically stayed in all morning and early afternoon since he got a fever and just couldn’t get up. I thought I would need to cut our vacation short but he fought through it, all for me. I’m just so grateful for him.

Despite how on this last day he wasn’t feeling 100%, we were still able to do one more thing. We went to visit One and Only Palmilla which was about 30 minutes away going back up north towards San Jose Del Cabo. You have to go drive through a private road for about 10 minutes to actually get to the property. I love how well maintained this area was, and how the surroundings had a great tropical vibe that reminded me of Hawaii. They are also located right on the beach which is very convenient. It is a gated property so it’s very well secured. Upon arriving, the staff were very polite and accommodating. They even took us on a tour on a golf cart! This property so amazing that you wouldn’t have to go anywhere else to take photos! Lol. Every corner of this property was photo worthy, no lie! We also sat down at their restaurant to have lunch. I had a chicken wrap and hubby had the fish tacos. It made it even more delicious with the view. We also watched the sunset here, which left us just speechless! I know next time I will be staying here for sure.

I wouldn’t have done this celebration any other way! I am beyond grateful for this experience and grateful for the best husband that always put so much effort in everything. Thank you guys also for being apart of it! This was PERFECT!
